some more Greenland for you … epic country, epic time I had there … the icebergs passing by down the fjord usually aren‘t that big anymore by the time they reach Nuuk, well at least not towering high like 5 floor buildings like the ones I saw in Ilulissat, but sometimes they do have very interesting forms even looking more like ice sculptures ( well trey are in fact ) than simple pieces of former massive icebergs … like the one seen in the middle photo …

Last year, while sailing through Earth’s largest fjord system, Scoresbysund in East Greenland, we encountered multiple amazing ice arches and ice caves within icebergs. Here is a collection of some of the best ones. Which shot is your favorite? 📸
It is hard to grasp the true scale of these giants until you see the ship alongside them, looking like a tiny speck against the ice. For me, those arches were the highlights of the trip, especially for drone photography.
