The snow brings a sense of freedom.
I love spending my time up at our cabin in the mountains — cooking over an open fire, embracing the silence, and wandering through the white landscape with our dogs.
Up here, everything feels more real, more peaceful.

Snowmobile on the Frozen Sea, Tasiilaq
Gliding across the frozen fjord outside Tasiilaq feels like stepping into another world – just you, the engine’s hum, and a landscape carved from ice and silence. Locals use snowmobiles as everyday winter transport, but for visitors, it’s pure Arctic freedom.
Tip: Early spring (February-April) is the sweet spot: strong daylight, solid sea ice, and mountain views so sharp they look unreal.

So I have some pretty insane news! I was named finalist in the Travel Photographer of the Year competition for a video I made in Greenland!!! This competition gets around 20,000 entries per year so to be a finalist feels absolutely nuts. It also feels like real encouragement to keep pursuing my video work as well as photography.
The video I entered is about the voyage I took from Iceland to Greenland while working as a videographer on the Seabourn Venture expedition ship – one of the best things I’ve ever done. I got to go to one of the most remote places in the world and see amazing geology & wildlife and learn from the most inspiring people.
