First morning in Greenland 🐻❄️
Right at the start of our sailing expedition, the Arctic shared its most cinematic side. First, this majestic lone wanderer on an ice floe, followed shortly by a mother and her two cubs navigating the steep cliffs.
Seeing these animals in such a raw, untamed environment is a powerful reminder of how fragile and beautiful our world is.

Here’s how we spent a week in Greenland last winter 🇬🇱❄️
DAY ONE
• Fly from Copenhagen to Nuuk (4 hrs 50 mins) with air_greenland_official
• Spend the rest of the day exploring Nuuk. Definitely recommend a night or two in the capital before continuing your journey further north!
DAY TWO
• Spend a relaxing morning in Nuuk
• Fly up to Ilulissat in the afternoon (1 hr 20 mins)
DAY THREE
• Take a leisurely stroll around Ilulissat
• Embark on a boat cruise on the Ilulissat Icefjord to see the icebergs up close. A truly awe-inspiring experience.
DAY FOUR
• Take a short hike to Asimut Cafe; a traditional peat hut cafe nestled on a clifftop overlooking Disko Bay.
• Venture out on a dog sledding adventure
DAY FIVE
• An overnight off-grid wilderness experience at the fantastic igloolodge_greenland, including a snowmobile ride to a frozen fjord where you can walk among the icebergs.
DAY SIX
• Visit the Ilulissat Icefjord Centre
• Hike the Yellow Trail at sunset for incredible views of the icebergs from above
DAY SEVEN
• Fly from Ilulissat back to Copenhagen (via Nuuk)
This was one of our favourite trips so far and it cost us less than £2,000 per person (see our previous reel for a full price breakdown). Greenland holds a lot of special memories for us, and it’s somewhere we’ll definitely be looking to return to in the future!
